Let's do a Heating Time Comparison...

Instant
0 minutes

BathBox
0 minutes

Storage
0 minutes
Wait… what?! Did we just say Zero Minutes for all three heaters? You bet we did! And no, it’s not a typo.
If you're using your water heater every day, the wait time is zero!! Yes, even for storage heaters!!
It’s a common myth that only instant heaters give you hot water right away. All heaters can deliver hot water the moment you turn the tap on, as long as you use them daily.
What's the Difference?
Instant heaters can keep producing hot water nonstop, but at a lower flow rate. Great for a quick shower. Maybe not so dreamy if you’ve got a big, luxurious rain shower.
BathBox.
It is small and sleek, just like an instant heater. It fits easily into tight spaces and looks modern.
Unlike instant heaters, the BathBox delivers a better flow rate! While it is still not powerful enough to support a full blast rain shower, I would consider it a solid step up from instant heaters.. An added bonus? It is way more compact than a huge storage tank. Perfect if you have a very tight bathroom space.
Storage heaters give you most powerful flow. They are designed for that glorious, full-pressure power shower effect. However, they only produce a limited amount of hot water before needing time to reheat.
If you are planning a rain shower setup, this is the kind of info you need to know.
The Secret to Staying Hot?
Why can't your heater keep water hot?
Maybe it’s poorly insulated.
Ever wonder why some heaters seem to “magically” keep water hot all day, while others leave you shivering halfway through your shower? This isn't magic. It is insulation.
Good insulation is like a thermal blanket wrapped around your water. It locks in the heat, slows down heat loss, and keeps your water toasty for hours, even if your heater is off! That means less reheating, faster hot water, and lower electricity bills.
It pays to invest in a good brand.
Top-quality heaters like AOS use thicker, high-density expanding foam insulation. This stuff fills every gap, clings tight to the tank, and slows down heat escape.
Cheaper heaters often use thin, low-density styrofoam. The soft and light kind that crumbles at the touch. It is low cost, but not that great when it comes to heat retention.
Verdict: If you are going to get a storage tank, invest in better insulation for hotter water, faster reheating, and more energy savings. It isn't easy because this info is not in a spec sheet, but read the reviews on whether the tank can actually retain heat.
Been using another brand of heater for over 5 years and always felt that the insulation is not working well, the heated water always cools off by morning time.
After using AOS, there is definitely difference in insulation and the water remains warm even 24 hours later! The digital display allows temperature setting to lower and eventually saving electricity.

The price might be higher than the more common and popular brands but the water does remain heated longer.
I would just need to on it once in the evening and the water will remain heated for the next 24 hours or longer, depending on your usage and the tank capacity.
I like the digital control panel as well. Able to set the timer function and let it turn on and off without worries.

How to Get Super Fast Reheat Time?
Today’s heaters are smarter, faster, and built for real life, especially in our busy Singaporean homes.
Digital storage heaters are next level gadgets. They don't just heat, they think. They detect when hot water is needed and actively push it straight to you, giving you up to 80% faster heating time. That’s not a minor upgrade, it is luxury and pure comfort!!!
You’ll also love the full hot water visuals right on the control panel.
Digital heaters like the Generation 6 have quietly become the #1 bestsellers, and it isn't hard to see why.
They are reliable, save loads of time and are efficient enough to serve families of up to 5, even with a bathtub in the mix!
Why Don’t Instant Heaters or the BathBox Need Insulation?
Easy. They don’t store hot water.
Tankless heaters work on demand. That means they heat water only when you turn on the tap, and only for the time you are using it. There is no water tank, no “keeping warm” in the background, and definitely no need to store hot water for later.
Since there’s nothing being stored, there’s nothing to insulate!
No hot water sitting around = no heat loss = no insulation needed.
Heat, deliver, done.
This simple set up comes at a price. Tankless units can only give you a limited water flow. That means you have to skip the rain shower. For some of us, it is no big deal.
I personally prefer a simple hand shower... the water pressure is better and it allows me to adjust the angle easily. Big rain showers can be a bit troublesome.
It’s Not About Heating Time.
It’s About Reheating Time.
We started by asking, What’s the heating time of a water heater?
But here’s the better question: What’s the Re-heating time, and what are the trade-offs?
If you use your heater daily, the initial heating time is zero for all types. The real difference shows up when your hot water runs out… and you need more. Now, that is where reheating time makes or breaks your experience.
