What is Reverse Osmosis (RO)?

Most water filters in Singapore are only basic filters. But they are branded and sold as ultra and micro filtration. In reality, they are only medium sand filters.

This is where the RO filter is different. RO is an advanced filter that gets rid of smaller and finer sand.

Water won’t just flow through a super-fine filter. It has to be forced through. That is why RO needs electricity. If you want the highest grade of clean water, you need to provide a power point.

AOS RO Filters Save 75% instead of Wasting 75%

AOS RO filter holds the patent for highest water saved.

This gives you 99% pure water while only wasting 1 glass of water. This makes the AOS RO filter the most efficient in the world.

In addition, a MAX4 RO filter can last up to 4 times longer than a regular RO filter. This means that not only do you save more water, you also save more money.
I bought an under-sink water filter from them. After piping and electrical works are done, you can basically forget that the unit is under your sink. There's just a small elegant tap that comes out of your sink counter.

Overall an excellent company with quality products and quality service. Definitely would recommend to friends.

RO reverse osmosis max4 vs water dispenser comparison table what it removes chlorine sand
Dispensers give you different temp, RO gives you pure water.
Many “filters” sold in Singapore are actually dispensers, not true filters. What’s the difference?

Dispensers focus on output.
Hot, cold, warm, or sparkling water.
They usually filter to 0.01 µm.

RO filters focus on pure water
They filter to 0.0001 µm.
That’s 100× finer.
max4 ro filter vs other brands cartridge size
You can tell which is a serious filter just by looking at size.
A dispenser filter is about 18 × 7 cm. There is only 1 filter in a dispenser.

The smallest RO filter is 36 × 10 cm.
There are 3 filters in an RO machine.

For dispensers, filtration is not the priority.
Figure our your own priority, so you know what you are paying for. Do you want different temperatures or do you want pure water?
RO Filters: Powerful, Yet Space-Saving
Unlike dispensers, RO filters go under the sink. They don't take up precious countertop space.

You get filtered water from a tap. It is easy to fill lots of RO water for bottles and pots.

RO removes trace metals. This is important for soup, which is often reheated. Reheating trace metals can be cancerous.

Tankless
• more advanced, filters water faster
• water filtered on demand, so no need tank
sleeker design takes up less space.

• 3-lit built-in tank
Tankless RO System: Easy to Change Your Refill Cartridge.
Tankless
• DIY (do-it-yourself) change
• Max out useful life, use each filter till 0%

Tank
• Needs professional to change filters
• Once every 12-16 months

DIY-Changes Saves Your Time
You can now change your filters at home, on your own. This will save you precious time. No need to make a service appointment.

Each filter has a microchip that notes your water usage. Lower use means longer lifespan. You can max out each filter till end of its life. Change only when it is at 0%!

Follow this full video guide:
Get Zero Waste: Change at Exactly 0% Life
Use the 3-light indicator. Wait till it hits 0% and change only then.

This is an advantage over dispensers. Many water dispensers don't track usage as they are not specialised. Instead, they use timers.

At a fixed 6 months or 1 year, they start to beep regardless of your usage. That is not an accurate measure of filter life.

Easy-View Light Prompt
There are filter change light prompts conveniently located at the tap. This is useful for you.

You don't have to keep opening your sink cabinet door to check if your RO filter is doing fine. You can tell from the tap.

Saw rave reviews and took the plunge. Bought the 40L Digital Water Heater, pre-filter and RO Water Filter. The water heater works like a charm, fuss free and quick to heat up. The technicians are professional and installed the water piping for the filters neatly and did a good job. Highly recommended!

There Are TONS of Different Filters Out There!
What is the Difference?

Let us break down filter mesh size.
Water Filter Mesh Net Smaller filter out particles better
types of filters mesh size sediments dust bacteria removes dirt particles
Why are Pre-Filters Usually Paired With RO Filters?
We need to protect the RO filter. Because the net is so tiny, it can clog easily.

Sediment Pre Filters do the heavy lifting. They get bigger particles out of the way. This allows RO to focus on small filtration.

Using the right filter at the right time will prolong its lifespan.

Another Benefit of the Water Filters: Self Cleaning
These RO filters have an automatic self cleaning feature. Great for busy families who want to let a system run on its own.

Self-cleaning takes place after an electric reset, or for every half an hour of continuous use. Your water filter stays clean, always ready for next person's use.
AR75 - Get This if You are Looking for a No Frills RO Water Filter.
Small family of about 4? Office use? We love the AR75. In fact, this is the model we use in our own office pantry. We get great flow rate, zero wait times, and wonderful water.

If this sounds like what you need at home too, then this no frills model is good enough for you. Being practical is key here.
RO Water Doesn't Contain Essential Minerals.. How Does This Affect Us?
Here's what you need to know.

While it is true that RO tends to lack minerals compared to tap water, we get most of our minerals from food, not water.

By consuming more leafy greens, fruits, and nuts, we can already get the necessary nutrients we need.
PUB Uses Reverse Osmosis too
PUB has been known to use Reverse Osmosis and Desalination to treat water in Singapore.

These are expensive processes which require a lot of investment. Providing an ample supply of clean and safe water for us is certainly a top priority!
DIY Cartridge Change
After changing filter 1, 2 or 3, let water run from the filter tap for 1 min.
Caution
Do not let filter tap run over 20 min or this will cause ‘leak protection’ to be activated and system will shut down.
