What does an A. O. Smith warranty cover?

AOS Bath Pte Ltd (the warrantor) will cover defects or manufacturing faults of the AOS water heater with components or models of equivalent size and compatibility. The warranty covers

  • Heater tank and leaks for 5 years from the date of purchase;
  • All other heater parts for 3 years from the date of purchase;
  • Service and labor charges for 3 years from the date of purchase.

It is the purchaser’s/owner’s responsibility to provide our service personnel direct access to the product unit.

What isn’t covered by an A. O. Smith warranty?

This warranty shall apply only when the heater

  • Is not subject to accidental damage or faults caused by negligence;
  • Is not subject to damage from external sources such as transit, weather or power surges.

Service and labour charges are covered for the first 3 years. After this period, AOS will provide only a replacement water heater or part thereof. The owner is responsible for all other costs (labor for service, delivery removal, re-installation)

What are the terms and conditions of the warranty?

This warranty shall apply only when the heater

  • Is owned by the original purchaser;
  • Is correctly installed in accordance to the AOS instruction manual;
  • Has a serial number that is not altered or removed;
  • Is installed indoors (not applicable for weatherproof models)
  • Is accessible (charges will apply to cut and replace false ceiling)
  • Is installed with no modifications to its design in any way

When does the warranty become effective?

An A.O. Smith warranty becomes effective on the date of purchase or delivery of your water heater, whichever is later.

Where is the A. O. Smith warranty valid?

The warranty is valid only in Singapore.

What is the claim procedure?

Please register online. If you have not done so, any claim under your warranty should be initiated with the dealer who sold the heater. If this is not practical, you can call us at 6842 0030.

Unregistered customers must produce proof of purchase and installation date to support a warranty claim. Please keep your purchase receipt in a safe place to ensure you have this information.
