Solar Heaters are Not as High-Tech as You Think
Most people hear 'solar' and picture sleek panels on rooftops that make electricity. Solar water heaters are not PV panels. Instead, they are copper pipes that run through a panel. The sun warms up water as it flows through the pipes.
This heat from sunlight is not always there. It is lost often, on cloudy days, at night or when it rains.

Have been using the heat pump water heater for 6 months. It's possible to use climate voucher for it. Idle power stands at 4w only, so you can always on it without worrying about eating too much power. Its large tank is also good if multiple bathrooms use the hot water simultaneously. Overall, it's the best heater l've used and totally no complaints.

AOS installed their 180L outdoor heat pump on my flat roof, replacing a 300L solar heater that had lasted 35 years. The AOS device gives more uniform temperature which we can preset compared to the solar, which needs you to keep an eye on the available sunlight and operate the booster accordingly. It is however a more complicated machine, essentially a refrigerator sitting on the roof.
The Company is very capably staffed, every tech and administrator is well versed to address all queries and situations. I do not see many building equipment suppliers as attentive and technically able as this one. For these long-term, special-to-type products using many non-interchangeable products within the trade, one hopes that AOS Singapore and the equipment manufacturer both continue to do well and keep their much-needed presence in the Singapore market!
