Gen 1 Heaters Support 2 Showers. Gen 6 Heaters Give you 4 Showers.
With heaters from the past (sorry Gen 1.), the biggest complaint was.. "I keep running out of hot water, and then I must wait.
The Gen 6 internal tank is built to heat more efficiently. It keeps scanning the tank for hot water to push it to you fast. This doubles hot water output, so you can take 4 back-to-back showers without running out. Perfect for morning mad rush peak hours.

The price [for Gen 6] might be higher than the more common and popular brands but the water does remain heated longer. I would just need to on it once in the evening and the water will remain heated for the next 24 hours or longer, depending on your usage and the tank capacity.
I like the digital control panel as well. Able to set the timer function and let it turn on and off without worries.

Why some heaters can't retain heat?

Lower Tank Temperature to Energy Saving Level of 50ºC
Use the up and down keys on the Gen 6 panel to lower your tank temperature to 50ºC. For Gen 1 heaters with no panel, the default is 70ºC. 70ºC is good for cold climates, but not for Singapore.
Setting to 50ºC can help you save up to 10% in energy use. But here's why you should not go lower than 50ºC.
